Informational Meeting at ABC of NC: Officials Will Discuss Home and Community Safety for Children with Autism

ABC of NC is hosting an informational meeting for parents, guardians, caregivers, and teachers of children diagnosed with autism. We have invited representatives from the Winston-Salem Police Department and Hand in Hand Water Safety Awareness Foundation to speak and answer questions about safety at home and in the community. The evening’s topics will include:

• Home and community safety plans
• Elopement
• Water safety
• Contact with first responders and being stopped by the police
• ID cards, ID bracelets, GPS trackers, and personal locating devices
