Facilitated peer play is conducted by an ABC of NC teacher or lead teacher between the hours of 8:45 am–5:15 pm, Monday through Friday, with your child and one of his/her peers or siblings.
Each session can be scheduled for either 1 or 2 hours, depending on scheduling availability. During the school day (8:45 am–2:45 pm) sessions must be scheduled starting at 45 minutes past the hour (i.e. 8:45 am, 9:45 am, 10:45 am, etc.). After 2:45 pm, sessions must be scheduled starting at 15 minutes past the hour (i.e. 3:15 pm, 4:15 pm). In order to maximize the generalization of progress made, we highly recommend that the peer be a student from your child’s class or a friend with whom your child plays often.
Any peer or sibling who attends facilitated peer play sessions with your child will be required to have all necessary paperwork on file before s/he can begin to participate. The family is responsible for securing the peer or sibling and scheduling the sessions with our scheduling coordinator, Leigh Ellen Spencer (336) 251-1180 ext. 120).
Sessions are scheduled on a first-come-first-served basis and will be billed monthly following the month they were provided.
